Independent analysis of the trial

The Universities of Salford and Cambridge have extensive experience in analysing data relating to four-day week trials and offered their expertise to us for free. The final report was first reported to our Employment and Staffing Committee.

While the Universities were analysing data and writing their report, the authors and the Council both raised and answered questions to ensure the data and analysis were fully understood. The authors also gave the Council the opportunity to check their draft reports - as they would do for any clients they work with. This interaction, including consideration of how the report is presented, is normal for this type of process. We’re publishing all the correspondence and files we exchanged, so they’re available for anyone to see.
