Healthy Eating
We are always looking for ways to support the community with healthy eating, to help work towards any lifestyle changes.
Community Cooking Programmes
In partnership with the Let’s Cook Project, we are delivering free sessions, which are aiming to support residents of South Cambridgeshire to improve their confidence and knowledge in healthy eating and cooking.
The programmes are being delivered by the Let’s Cook Project, who are well qualified and trained to deliver these programmes. We are looking to deliver 4 cohorts across the district, and we offer 2 different programmes, an adult programme, and a family programme. All equipment and ingredients will be provided.
The programme will offer:
- help with improving cooking skills
- a variety of information on healthy eating advice including; portion sizes, balancing meals, and savvy shopping
- a range of different meals and snacks to cook at each session
- tips for shopping on a budget
- help with tracking progress within the sessions
Family Programme
The Family Programme will be sessions taking place in the school holidays, where parents/guardians can cook with up to 2 children per attending adult. This programme will be for parents/guardians with children aged 5 to 11.
Accompanying parents must attend every session and must be 18 or over.

Healthy Recipes
Our Healthy You team across Cambridgeshire has been collecting all our favourite recipes to share with you.
The recipe cards are free to download and contain lots of ideas for breakfasts, lunch, dinners and snacks.
The cards feature a selection of healthy balanced meals, perfect for anyone to try. The cost of each serving is on the recipe card too, this will not only help when budgeting for your food shop, but give you lots of ideas for tasty meals.
