We are responsible for the maintenance of around 1800 streetlights in the district.
By March 2023 our streetlights were changed to LED lamps which is estimated to have saved a little over 70% in the energy they use. Lights are also structurally inspected and electrically tested every 6 years.
All of the streetlights maintained by us can be found on the map below and begin with the prefix ‘SC’. Where a streetlight does not begin with this prefix, it is not maintained by us and should be reported to to Cambridgeshire County Council.
We aim to attend to reported faults with our streetlights within 10 days. Please note that where, on attendance, the fault is found to be with the electrical supply the issue will be referred to the network operator which will take longer to resolve.
