Consultation on football stadium at Sawston (March to May 2013)

We ran a single issue public consultation on a proposal for a football stadium at Sawston [PDF, 0.5MB]. A summary [PDF, 23Kb] of the comments received has been prepared.
Cambridge City Football Club (FC) want a stadium with a capacity of 3000 people, with 500 seats, in order to meet Football Association requirements. The stadium would comprise:
- home and away stands
- associated facilities (including: restaurant, bars, toilets, gym, changing facilities, shop, storage, and offices)
- flood lighting
- car parking (300 parking spaces), coach and cycle parking
The proposal also includes a separate all-weather training pitch.
It should be highlighted that this is not a site option for the Community Stadium for the Cambridge Sub-Region, for which site options were subject to consultation through the January 2013 Issues and Options consultation.
