The Chair of South Cambridgeshire District Council, Cllr Peter Fane, laid a wreath on behalf of the Council at a Remembrance Day event this week.

Cllr Fane attended a Veterans Day Ceremony at the Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial, Coton on Monday (11 November).

Remembrance Day marks the day that World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918. A period of silence is held at 11am on that day every year, to remember the people who have died in wars around the world.
