If you are registered for Council Tax and you have recently changed your name, you must tell us immediately. It is important that your information is correct for our records so that it does not cause issues with your bill. You can do this using the form linked at the top of the page.

You must have your Council Tax account reference number to hand. This number starts with "1010". You can find it in the top left corner of your Council Tax bill.

If you are updating someone else's name

If your name is not on the Council Tax account, but you need to change the name of the person who is responsible, you must provide a Letter of Authority confirming you are authorised to give this information.
