A Candle in the Wind?

How to do your own low cost energy saving

7.30 - 9.30 pm, 19 March 2015 at Rampton Village Hall

Thirty people came to this lively and informative session to hear about simple, low cost steps to transform your home and reduce your energy bills.  Speakers were:

  • Andrew Davies of My Green Lighting on the latest in fluorescent and LED light bulbs
  • Jane Perks of Rampton Energy Group on how a thermal camera can help find your draughts and heat leaks (view a pdf of Jane's presentation)
  • Tom Bragg of Cambridge Carbon Footprint on simple DIY to fix problems (view a pdf of Tom's presentation)

Visit to Gamlingay taking in the Ecohub and the Community Wind Turbine

12.45 - 3.30 pm, Sunday 11 January

A packed afternoon hearing about sustainability initiatives in Gamlingay, seeing the wind turbine up close and touring the award-winning Ecohub.
